Christmas isn't Christmas without the School Nativity. All those eager faces, dressed in dressing gowns and tea towel, grinning at Mum and Dad, Grandma, Aunty, Sister, Brother - actually just grinning in the spotlight!
My Christmas cards this year are on the School Nativity. I miss them! Each little story is true - well almost, and one story is me when I was little, anyone who knows me and my primary school may well recognise it!
The little stories on the back - just in case you were wondering what's going on...
Being a Star isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be!
‘I’m the star of the show!
Mrs Brown says I’m going to be the star. I have to stand at the back with a star on a stick...she says I have to be quiet and stand still so everyone can see the star…’
And the wise men brought trainers, a bottle of sweets and a football
‘Mum, I’m meant to take some ‘muuur’ but I’m taking a football ‘cos the little baby really, really wants a football... anyway the teacher says I’m a wise man... so I must know what I’m talking about...’
And the Shepherds brought... what they wanted
OK, so the shepherds didn’t ‘do’ lambs so they brought the baby a unicorn, a dinosaur and a trolley dog.... probably more useful anyway!
The Grumpy Inn Keeper
I’m the Inn Keeper...Mummy says I’m the Grumpy Inn Keeper... but I wanted to be Joseph and have lots to say - I know all the words - but no, Mrs Brown said I have to be the Inn Keeper, I have to be quiet and point at the stupid sign!...
Mary and Joseph don’t always get on...
Mary and Joseph don’t like each other...Joseph pulled Mary’s hair because she wouldn’t share her twiglets with him.
(Other snacks may be available, but not in Mary’s lunch-box!)
Lovely memories, and some still to be made...
Each bundle of cards contains ten cards, two of each design. All the cards are blank in side so you can write your own message, note, letter, round robin or just send lots of love this Christmas, tell your friends and family you’re thinking of them this year.
Lots of Love
The cards measure 150mm x 150mm, they are printed in Cornwall on white textured 280gsm card which has been responsibly sourced and can be recycled. We also use card clasps, so no plastic sleeves, we just want to do out little bit for the environment.
